The Illinois Fire Service Institute Fund (IFSIF) was established as a way for alumni and donors to provide important unrestricted support to the Illinois Fire Service Institute. These monies allow the Director to seize opportunities as they arise and to allocate resources where they can best benefit students and staff. At the Director's discretion, monies provided to the IFSIF will be used for needs such as:
- Innovative new courses and curricula
- Development of new props for hands-on training
- Expansion of training facilities, including additional regional locations to reach firefighters and first responders near their home areas
- New library and burn facilities
- Support for new research initiatives
As an annual supporter of the IFSI Fund, you'll be the beneficiary of expanded programs that will result in safer communities. You'll be kept informed of the progress of the Fund's activities through the semi-annual newsletter. You'll also receive the annual calendar and a window decal that declares your support for the programs offered by IFSI.
All contributions to the IFSI Fund are tax-deductible, as allowed by law.
IFSI offers you the opportunities to define the level of support you're willing to provide each year.

Many employers offer to match their employee's charitable contributions. If your employer does so your support can be doubly important to IFSI. Obtain a form from your personnel department and send it along with your contribution.
