The international network for Fire Information and Reference Exchange (inFIRE) is a worldwide consortium of libraries with significant collections of fire literature. Program activities include inFIRE conferences (which are open to members and non-members alike), development of the inFIRE Union List of Serial Publications and workshops on accessing information for fire professionals.

The Illinois Fire Service Institute Library has partnered with inFIRE to deliver the serial publication listing to all registered librarians within the inFIRE group.

inFIRE librarians provide for and support each other to supply the firefighting community with the materials necessary to do fulfill their mission.
