The Unified Command Course has been developed and sponsored by the Illinois Terrorism Task Force as a critical component of the Illinois Homeland Security Training Strategy. It is based upon the principles of Incident Command as established in the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and is intended to meet the requirements of Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPD) 5, 7 and 8. This course will certify the student to the Federal IS-100 and IS-200 level, as required for NIMS implementation locally.
