EXPLORER-CADET
"HANDS-ON TRAINING"
FIRE SCHOOL

Thursday through Sunday
June 26 - 29, 2008

 
As a participant in the Annual Explorer-Cadet "Hands-On Training" Fire School, you will have the opportunity to work live evolutions that include:

• Fire service hose work
• Ladder work of all kinds
• Breathing apparatus
• Fire streams
• Rural and urban water supply
• Structural fire fighting under controlled fire conditions in IFSI's live burn facilities
• Ventilation
• Propane fire fighting
• Firefighter rescue
• Ropes and knots
• Rapid Intervention Team (RIT)

These skills will involve rotations between burn and smoke facilities and will be a very full three days.

Enrollment is limited to 400 students and advisors participating in the drills

Fees to attend:  $300
(Your most economical choice)

• Three nights lodging on-campus
• Hot breakfast served Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings at the dorm
• Catered lunch on IFSI training grounds
• Shirt and souvenir item

HOUSING WITH THIS PLAN IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTICIPANT.

Note: Campus parking is $7.00 per day at the dorm. Day swimming pass for CRCE pool and water slide is $8.00
